Aaxon Laundry Systems, based in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., recently concluded its fourth year participating as an official drop-off location for the Toys for Tots national holiday campaign.
Aaxon received several toy donations from its employees and customers in support of the foundation. New, unwrapped toys were collected as an office-wide effort to positively impact nearby families in need.
"We have a beautiful office Christmas tree at Aaxon, but the moment it truly feels like Christmas is when the big Toys for Tots drop-off box is set up in the lobby," said Angela Silveria, Aaxon route coordinator. "The holidays are about giving, and knowing that my donation will help put a smile on a child's and parent's face fulfills me. I love participating every year and enjoy that Aaxon serves as a drop-off location."
Toys for Tots is a program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve, which distributes toys to children in communities whose parents cannot afford to buy them holiday gifts. New, unwrapped toys are collected and then distributed to communities needing holiday cheer.
